Linda is a Registered Nurse as well as a Certified Nurse Midwife. She has worked with Dr. Chambers for more than 20 years and has delivered generations of babies in the local community.
Linda was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Cleveland, Tennessee, in 1960. She grew up on a farm with her loving parents and sister. Linda attended school in neighboring Charleston for all 12 years and graduated as valedictorian of her high school class in 1974.
Following high school graduation, Linda attended Cleveland State Community College for one year and then transferred to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she graduated from in 1977 with a liberal arts degree.
Linda worked as a probation counselor for Bradley County Juvenile Court for two years. Later, she worked as a social worker for Cleveland Bradley Development, working with juvenile offenders for two years.
After a career in social work, Linda decided to attend nursing school at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she graduated from in 1981. She worked at Bradley Memorial Hospital (now Tennova) for eight years, with six of those years in the labor and delivery unit. Wanting to do more in that field, Linda moved to Charleston, South Carolina, and attended the Medical University of South Carolina, where she received her MSN in Nurse Midwifery. She returned to Cleveland and joined Dr. Chambers' practice and has worked for him for more than 25 years.
Linda has worked extensively with the Tennessee Nurses Association (TNA) and has served two terms as president of the organization. She is also a proud member of Sigma Theta Tau, a nursing honor society.
